Bill Howe Develops In-House Training Program

Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating & Air, Restoration & Flood Begins Monthly In-House Advanced Training
Award-winning San Diego plumber creates advanced training programs monthly for field employees

September 30, 2017 San Diego, Calif. – Bill Howe began his company in 1980 with a mission to offer the San Diego community the highest quality of services at fair prices. For over 37 years, the company has grown from a single operation to a multi-divisional company offering expert services in San Diego plumbing, heating & air conditioning, restoration & flood services, water treatment, and drain rehabilitation. Bill Howe has been sending their plumbers to the San Diego Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors Academy since they opened. The company pays for 100 percent of tuition, books, and offers on-the-job training for the four-year Journeyman course. They offer this to all new apprentices, as well as employees who do not yet have their Journeyman License and want to continue their education.

As part of their ongoing mission to customers, Bill Howe has instituted a new advanced training program in addition to the PHCC offering. Each month, the company hosts several courses, including a dedicated Customer Service Training. Kicking their program off in September, Bill Howe hosted the Customer Service training, a Nortiz Tankless Water Heater Training, and a course on water pressure issues that commonly affect homeowners. “By having regular courses, seminars and training in-house, we are able to better train our field team to provide the best service to our customers in San Diego,” said Bill Haws, General Manager of Bill Howe Family of Companies’.

The San Diego plumber has always focused on safety, training, and career advancement within the Bill Howe Family of Companies. By offering dedicated courses each month, the company will ensure all field employees have access to product training, updates within the industry, customer service seminars and coaching, and classes that will allow them to continually improve their skills and better serve their customers.

October courses include drain preparation for the rainy season, area drain services, sump pump repair, and common toilet uses.

Bill Howe sent us an amazing veteran plumber, Dashawn and his co- worker Anthony. Dashawn did a thorough check of the problem, explained what he thought was needed … he did a final check and we were able to see for ourselves what was the problem. He recommended a complete cleaning to de-scale the pipes, and not the major work we dreaded. Thanks to his solid analysis and patience in making sure we saw what he saw, the issue was resolved completely, and saved us thousands of unnecessary work. None of the other estimates included the cleaning; only the major repairs. Thanks to Dashawn’s knowledge, professionalism and honesty, we’re Bill Howe customers.

This was our second excellent experience with Bill Howe. We had a blocked kitchen sink drain 8/5. I was able to get a same day appointment which is AMAZING. Person on phone was very courteous and set me up right away. Tony arrived at the house (called me 30 minutes out so I was able to be ready). He diagnosed the issue (blocked drain, not the garbage compactor) and was able to snake it and ran the water for 10 minutes to be sure the drains were clear. He cleaned up everything and you would not have known he was even there. Thank-you Tony and Bill Howe, you always know how.
