Tina Howe Honored At NAWBO Awards

Nominated for Business Owner of the Year, Tina will  be recognized  at 2017 National Association for Women Business Owners signature event

Bill and Tina Howe have grown their company from a one-man operation offering drain cleaning to a multi-division home service company covering San Diego in plumbing, HVAC, and restoration services across the county from the border to the South up to the 78 in the north. Built on a simple mission to build a customer-centric company with healthy, happy employees, provide quality and affordable services to their customers, and give back to their community through philanthropy, volunteerism and community involvement, and in 2016, they were voted the best in all three of their divisions in San Diego; Plumbing, Heating & Air, and Restoration & Flood.

NAWBO stands for National Association of Women Business Owners, and since 1975 has helped women to evolve their businesses with connected resources and provide a single voice to shape economic and public policy. NAWBO is a non-profit organization and has over 5000 members nationwide. Members include women from every industry across approximately 60 chapters, including the local San Diego chapter which was created in 1991.

The NAWBO BRAVO! Awards honor women business owners who have established themselves as leaders and role models. There are seven categories that women can be nominated in, including Women Business Owner of the Year, the category that Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating & Air, Restoration & Flood in San Diego nominated their Vice President Tina Howe. Tina was named as a finalist; award winners will be announced at the BRAVO Award Ceremony on May 17, 2017 at the Cape Rey Carlsbad, A Hilton Resort.

Since joining San Diego plumber, Bill Howe, in 1983, Tina has been integral to the growth of the Bill Howe brand and company. Together with Bill and three of their daughters, she continues to lead the company into new directions and elevate the industry. Tina was recently honored with the Connected Women of Influence Presidents Award, has been named a Women Who Means Business twice by the San Diego Business Journal, and named an honoree at the 2013 Tribute to Women in Industry. She also served as the San Diego Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractor’s Association President in 2013.
