The Bill Howe Way: September Awards Recipients

Bill Howe is proud to recognize Brandon Pettway, Chris Orwen, Saul Serrano and Tyler Cervantes for upholding the Bill Howe Way.

 

Brandon Pettway Winner septBrandon Pittway, San Diego plumber and PHCC Apprentice of the Year, was presented with the Leading by Example Award for his outstanding achievements throughout September. Brandon is the epitome of the Bill Howe way; he arrives on time to job sites, clearly communicates with his customers, and is beyond professional in appearance and organization. Brandon Pettway is a shining example of the high standards Bill Howe sets for the for our field employees.

 

 

 

 

Chris Orwen septChris Orwen is the Customer Service Award Winner for the month of September of his outstanding commitment to customer care. On a large job, that unfortunately had several scheduling issues, Chris was able to step in quickly and solve the plumbing problem professionally and efficiently. He came into a frustrating situation, and offered expert care to help alleviate the stress and bring a swift and perfect resolution.

 

 

 

 

Saul septSaul Serrano has been one of Bill Howe’s exemplary plumbers in San Diego since beginning in 2007. He is also a journeyman plumber having graduated from eh PHCC Apprenticeship program in 2012, and is truly committed to the Bill Howe Way. He is September’s recipient for the Above & Beyond Award for his dedication to the Bill Howe softball team, and surpassing his peers in the latest Bill Howe Team Leader Competition. Saul routinely takes extra on call shifts for management, helps his fellow plumbers and would happily give you the shirt off his back if it would help you.

 

 

 

Tylker_ SeptmeberTyler Cervantes is also a Journeyman Plumber from the PHCC Apprenticeship program, and a perfect example of all that Bill Howe expects from employees in the field.  He takes great pride in his work, which is why he was presented with the September Excellence award for his outstanding attention to detail and perfection in his latest bathroom remodel.

We had other companies come out for estimates on what was considered a major job with jackhammers and replacing cast iron pipes under the house… having been stung before, we wanted another estimate just to make sure we were making an informed decision. The prior estimates went up to $21,000!
Bill Howe sent us an amazing veteran plumber, Dashawn and his co- worker Anthony. Dashawn did a thorough check of the problem, explained what he thought was needed … he did a final check and we were able to see for ourselves what was the problem. He recommended a complete cleaning to de-scale the pipes, and not the major work we dreaded. Thanks to his solid analysis and patience in making sure we saw what he saw, the issue was resolved completely, and saved us thousands of unnecessary work. None of the other estimates included the cleaning; only the major repairs. Thanks to Dashawn’s knowledge, professionalism and honesty, we’re Bill Howe customers.

This was our second excellent experience with Bill Howe. We had a blocked kitchen sink drain 8/5. I was able to get a same day appointment which is AMAZING. Person on phone was very courteous and set me up right away. Tony arrived at the house (called me 30 minutes out so I was able to be ready). He diagnosed the issue (blocked drain, not the garbage compactor) and was able to snake it and ran the water for 10 minutes to be sure the drains were clear. He cleaned up everything and you would not have known he was even there. Thank-you Tony and Bill Howe, you always know how.
