The Bill Howe Way: August Award Recipients

Bill Howe is proud to recognize Gustavo Valle, Samuel Ramirez, Melissa Taylor and Miguel Paredes for upholding the Bill Howe Way.

Gustavo-1Gustavo Valle, San Diego plumber and Journeyman Apprentice student is the recipient of the August Bill Howe Excellence Award.

 

 

 

Miguel Paredes, EMS Specialist for Bill Howe Restoration & Flood Services, was presented with the Leading by Example Award for his outstanding achievements throughout August. He had perfect arrival times and attendance, and his gear, truck, uniforms and job sites are all clean and well organized. He is a stellar example of the Bill Howe standards.miguel-1

 

 

 

 

samuel-1Samuel Ramirez, from our heating & air conditioning division in San Diego is the Customer Service Award winner for August. During a recent new A/C installation, he discovered that the unit would not fit and would be unable to move forward with the install. It was on a Friday, and instead of calling it a day and telling the customer it would have to wait, he called the office and got approval to do a temporary repair in order to get the customer a working A/C for the upcoming hot weekend. In the 105 degree weather, Samuel crawled into the attic and began troubleshooting ways in which to make a temporary fix. He came up with a solution, and spent the next two hours soldering in the sweltering attic. Bill Howe technicians are trained to go the extra step, and Samuel proved how when something goes wrong, there is always a solution to keep our customers happy and comfortable.

Melissa Taylor, a customer service representative and part of our epoxy drain lining division, received the Above & Beyond Award for August. She routinely takes the extra step for the Bill melissa-1Howe Family of Companies, attending special events and assisting customers outside of her field of expertise. In August, she hosted the Food Bank volunteer night and made homemade street tacos, as well as having a group of 50 employees show up to help out. She also received two outstanding online reviews from customers and set up a tee box sponsor at a recent industry golf tournament. She truly embodies all that Bill Howe is.

Bill Howe sent us an amazing veteran plumber, Dashawn and his co- worker Anthony. Dashawn did a thorough check of the problem, explained what he thought was needed … he did a final check and we were able to see for ourselves what was the problem. He recommended a complete cleaning to de-scale the pipes, and not the major work we dreaded. Thanks to his solid analysis and patience in making sure we saw what he saw, the issue was resolved completely, and saved us thousands of unnecessary work. None of the other estimates included the cleaning; only the major repairs. Thanks to Dashawn’s knowledge, professionalism and honesty, we’re Bill Howe customers.

This was our second excellent experience with Bill Howe. We had a blocked kitchen sink drain 8/5. I was able to get a same day appointment which is AMAZING. Person on phone was very courteous and set me up right away. Tony arrived at the house (called me 30 minutes out so I was able to be ready). He diagnosed the issue (blocked drain, not the garbage compactor) and was able to snake it and ran the water for 10 minutes to be sure the drains were clear. He cleaned up everything and you would not have known he was even there. Thank-you Tony and Bill Howe, you always know how.
