Outstanding Employees Honored for November Achievements

The Bill Howe Family of Companies was recently named as San Diego’s Best Plumber and San Diego’s Best Heating & Air Conditioning Company. We were very excited to learn of the honor by Union Tribune Readers, and know that it is all due to the amazing team we have.

We believe in recognizing our outstanding team members as much as possible, and so created four awards for achievement that we present each month at our company-wide meeting. The awards are: Above & Beyond, Customer Service, Leading by Example, and Excellence and showcase employees for volunteer work, job perfection, leading the Bill Howe Way, and of course treating customers with our Legendary Service.

We were very excited to recognize nine employees’ achievements from the month of November: Mauricio Cervantes, Mike Lacey, Michael D. Hoover, and: Brian Dorney, Carlos Cruz, Chris Hamm, Daniel Heinz, Jose Gomez, and Yons Juarez.

Mauricio Cervantes is one of our San Diego plumbing Team Leader’s and has been with our company for over 10 years delivering nothing but the best craftsmanship and service. However, we wanted to recognize another aspect of Mauricio’s contribution to our company and community and that his is his giving spirit. Mauricio was presented with our Above & Beyond Award for going the extra mile for his peers and joining in Bill Howe’s volunteer efforts with the American Heart Association and San Diego Food Bank.

For our Excellence Award, there was one clear choice for November, Mike Lacey. A skilled San Diego Journeyman plumbing specialist but also one of the best drain technician’s we have. His recent job on a high-rise building was completed to absolute perfection, on time, within budget, with constant customer communication, clean and restored, earning him this award.

Michael D. Hoover is newer with our company, but an outstanding plumber, which is why we are pleased to present him with the Leading by Example Award for his first full month with our company. From the moment of his hire, Michael has proven to be efficient, skilled, great at customer service, detailed, and stands out as a true leader. Sometimes, it takes several employees working together to create a seamless and successful job. That is the case with our Customer Service Award Winner(s) for November. We earned our name of San Diego’s Best Heating & Air Conditioning Company when Brian Dorney, Carlos Cruz, Chris Hamm, Daniel Heinz, Jose Gomez, and Yons Juarez worked around the clock to deliver comfort for our customers on a recent job. It was a challenging installation and took all of them working as a team to complete creating another happy customer.
