Bill Howe Voted Best of San Diego in 2016 Union Tribune Reader’s Poll

Local plumbing, heating & air, and restoration company chosen by reader’s as “Best of SD” in all three categories

August 25, 2016 San Diego, Calif. – The Bill Howe Family of Companies has grown into one of the largest family-owned and operated service companies offering services in restoration, reconstruction, plumbing, heating and air conditioning in San Diego. In their over 35-year history, they have been presented with numerous awards including many local “Reader’s Choice” polls where the community votes for their favorites.  In 2016, they were chosen by the Union Tribune Readers as the Best Plumber, Best Contractor, and Best Heating & Air Conditioning specialists in San Diego.

Each year, the San Diego Union Tribune hosts the Best of San Diego Reader’s Poll inviting the community to nominate and vote for their favorite companies, services, nightlife, financial institutions and so much more in over 176 categories. The UT Best of SD is celebrating 20 years in 2016. In the “For the Home” section, Bill Howe Family of Companies, under each of their three divisions was nominated for having the best San Diego plumbers, best San Diego Heating & Air Conditioning, and the best San Diego contractor for their flood & restoration/reconstruction division.

Nominations were open through May 29 and voting began in June for the top ten nominated companies, services, restaurants, and individuals for each category. The community was able to vote once per day per category. To ensure fairness in the voting process, the online set-up required signing up and signing in each time someone placed a vote. The top winners and finalists in each category were officially announced on August 21 with Bill Howe earning the top place in each of the categories in which they were nominated. “It is a tremendous honor for us to have been chosen in all categories this year,” said Tina Howe, Vice President of the Bill Howe Family of Companies.

Bill Howe has been chosen as the best San Diego plumbers in the UT Best of SD before, and has also been chosen by local beach communities as their Gold Medal Plumber through the Beach & Bay Press newsgroup in La Jolla and Point Loma for several years in a row. The is the first time that Bill Howe has taken the highest honor for their contractor division, “we are so honored to have been chosen by our community and to be named the ‘Best,’” said Haley Grande, General Manger of Bill Howe Restoration & Flood/Reconstruction. “We are only as great as our team, and we do have the Best Team in all of San Diego.”
