Bill Howe Recognizes Outstanding Employees for Excellence in December
Each month, Bill Howe Family of Companies recognizes outstanding individuals within the company. The awards presented highlight employees for customer service, going above and beyond, leading by example and excellence on the job. At the January company meeting, we were proud to honor seven employees: Charles Lopez, Javier Vidaca, Josh Troyer, and four for Job Excellence, Louie Sepulveda, Cesar Rostro, Luis Cortez, and Joe Navarro.
Charles Lopez is no stranger to recognition. In fact, we all agree that he could win the Leading by Example Award every month. He is one of the best drain specialists in San Diego, finishing every job to perfection, he arrives on time to every job, looks and acts with professionalism at all times, and the list could go on. We are very proud to recognize Charles for his outstanding example of the perfect Bill Howe employee.
Our plumbers in San Diego have a challenging job. They are called out at all hours to solve problems from the simple drain clog to complex gas leaks and floods. And on top of solving the problem quickly and professionally, they also have to deliver the best customer service. Facing stressful situations is never easy, and our job is take that stress away and fix the plumbing problem. That is exactly what our Customer Service Award winner, Javier Vidaca did on a recent job. He walked into a very stressful situation, a customer who was losing faith, and a large and complicated plumbing emergency. But, he did what he does best, excelled. He walked in with understanding and patience, and worked diligently to bring a happy resolution for our customer.
Our drain specialists in San Diego often go unnoticed. They can “run” anywhere from 5 to 10 or 15 drain jobs in a normal day when they do a great job, that’s the end of the story. Our team shows up, diagnoses the issue, clears the clog and leaves you with a smile. That is the Bill Howe Way. But it is especially rewarding when our team is recognized. Clearing a drain in San Diego is not easy; there are many older homes with delicate lines, and although it doesn’t rain often when it does it wreaks havoc across the county. That’s why we are happy to present the Above & Beyond Award to one of our drain experts, Josh Troyer. He is one of our most reviewed plumbers, receiving 5-stars across Yelp, Facebook, and our own website. Here is one of his recent reviews from Audrey in Poway via Yelp: “Josh has a great attitude and has been well-trained in customer service. On time and wastes no time in handling situation. Would recommend and want him to handle our plumbing needs in the future.”
Our Excellence Award is presented for craftsmanship on the job. Part of the Bill Howe way is to take pride in your job, and our guys are the best. Normally a difficult task, choosing Decembers award recipients was easy.
San Diego has a pretty big Biotech industry, and just like anyone, they, too, run into plumbing problems. However, in a clean and sterile environment, solving those plumbing emergencies is not only challenging, done incorrectly, it could mean millions of dollars. We had a condensate line leaking underneath the slab of pharmaceutical manufacturing company that had no the choice than to dig into the slab to make the repair. It took our plumbing and restoration division working together to resolve this issue and they did wit without compromising the companies’ operations. Our team set up a sterile and clean environment allowing our plumber to make the repair and they literally saved the day. Congratulations to Louie Sepulveda (our plumber n the job), and Joe Navarro, Luis Cortez, and Cesar Rostro for maintaining the sterile environment and putting it all back together, again.
