Bill Howe Promotes Five San Diego Plumbers to Team Leaders

Well-known San Diego plumbing company created five new positions in the plumbing division in 2014

May 28, 2014 San Diego, Calif. – Bill Howe Family of Companies has become one of the largest family-owned and operated companies offering San Diego expert services in plumbing, heating & air conditioning and restoration & flood remediation. Part of the success of the well-established company has been the caliber of employee, owner, Bill Howe hires in San Diego. Plumbers, heating & air conditioning technicians and restoration specialists must all complete extensive training and continue to educate themselves on their trade. To ensure training is a high priority, the Bill Howe Family of Companies will pay for all employees that wish to join the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors two year HVAC school or four year Journeyman program.

Five veteran plumbing professionals in the San Diego company were recently promoted to Team Leaders. The Team Leader position is a new creation in 2014 meant to assist the growing company in day-to-day operations creating a clear flow of communication and efficiency within the plumbing division.  “Although we remain a small family-owned business in how we care for our customers, we are growing and wanted to ensure that we continue that same level of care within the company,” said Amber Baynard, Human Resources Manager for the Bill Howe Family of Companies. Each Team Leader has approximately 15 employees on their team and are directly responsible for helping them to meet the expectations of the company’s policies and standards such as arrival times, truck maintenance, appearance, training and education, and company morale.

The Team Leaders meet one on one with each employee as well as a group bi-monthly. They also help to bridge communication gaps between technician and dispatcher to create a cohesive team unit, which ultimately benefits the customer and eliminates errors. The five Team Leaders, Brain Rice, Edgar Godinez, Jorge Kahle, Nate Thorsen and Luis Mascareno, have been with Bill Howe for between 5 and 12 years as premiere San Diego plumbers, and earned this position through rigorous training, a grueling interview process that had over 20 applicants, and a dedication to making a better Bill Howe Family of Companies.
