Bill Howe Plumbing in San Diego Honors Outstanding Employees

 Local plumbing, restoration and heating company in San Diego recognizes exemplary employees with December Awards

January 19, 2016 San Diego, Calif. – The Bill Howe Family of Companies has grown into one of the largest family owned service companies since 1980. Specializing in heating & air conditioning, restoration & flood services, and plumbing in San Diego, they have been the recipient of multiple industry awards. Additionally, the company hires and retains quality employees across all three divisions with great benefits and ample recognition.

The award-winning Bill Howe Family of Companies started with a simple mission to: build a company of healthy, happy employees, and offer them a successful career, deliver quality and affordable services for San Diego residents, and to give back to their community through volunteerism, financial contributions and pro-bono work helping those in need.

“We are proud to continually recognize our outstanding employees,” said Tina Howe, Vice President of the Bill Howe Family of Companies. “In 2015, we implemented a new award structure for the company and have seen the results through improved company morale, exemplary customer service, and happier employees. We were especially pleased to honor not only four employees for their outstanding work in December, but seven!”

The company has supported their employees through education, most notably with the plumbing division in San Diego. They pay for full tuition and on-the-job training for their plumbers to attend the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors’ Journeyman Program, and since 2013, have also offered the same 100 percent paid training in the two-year HVAC program. They are also proponents for recognition through birthdays, anniversaries, births and several “employee of the month” awards.

The redesigned award categories are: Above & Beyond, for employees who take that extra step to help customers, the company and their colleagues, Excellence, presented to the employee (or employees) who demonstrates quality craftsmanship, Leading by Example, for the employee who represents the high standards of Bill Howe, and Customer Service, for the employee who delivers exceptional customer Care.

All employees are eligible for each award. Employees are nominated by management, their team leaders, and through input from office staff. “It is a challenging task to choose each month, said Amber Baynard, Human Resource Manager. “We truly have the best team in San Diego.”  The winners for each month are announced at the following month’s company meeting. They have their pictures hung on the employee wall and each employee receives a bonus check.

In January the following employees were recognized: Josh Troyer for Above & Beyond (A&B), Javier Vidaca for Customer Service (CS), Cesar Rostro, Louie Sepulveda, Luis Cortez, and Joe Navarro for Excellence (E), and Charles Lopez for Leading by Example (LBE).
