Bill Howe Knows Confined Space Plumbing!
Did you know that there are some instances that require special certifications for plumbing repair? San Diego requires all plumbers that will be working in confined spaces to have special certification, as well as a three-man crew and all necessary equipment. Many work spaces that a San Diego plumber from Bill Howe finds himself in at any given time is deemed “confined.” The “confined” space restricts movement and/or entry and is not conducive to continuous occupancy. When the layout of the job site hinders the activities of the Bill Howe experts who must enter, work in, or exit them, they must be specially certified.

Since 1980, Bill Howe has been the leading expert in all manner of plumbing repair. San Diego residents and business owners have been relying on the highly skilled plumbers to fix leaking pipes and drain lines and sometimes they must enter areas that are both dangerous and scary. Some examples of OSHA’s “Permit-required confined spaces” include underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, manholes, pits, silos and pipelines, as well as spaces that may be hazardous.
There must be a three-man crew, each of whom is certified in “confined” space conditions, a special rig that includes a tripod and pulley to lower the technician into the space and a harness for added safety at all times. Air quality is also a major concern. Prior to entering the space, each San Diego plumber from Bill Howe will test the oxygen levels. Once lowered down, they remain harnessed and in constant communication with the crew in case the oxygen levels become dangerously low.

I definitely agree that it is mandatory for plumbers to have certification. Lack of training and experience only leads to a more serious complications, even accidents!
