Bill Howe Family of Companies Launches 4th Annual Drawing Contest Teaming with American Heart Association

Well-known San Diego heating & air conditioning, plumbing, restoration & flood services company raises awareness of heart health

January 16, 2013 San Diego, Calif. – Bill Howe Plumbing and the American Heart Association are teaming up for a fourth year to host the “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest. The contest spans  three months and the San Diego heating & air conditioning, plumbing and restoration company will celebrate with several events including a kick-off Party in January at The Serra Mesa Library and ending with the grand prize winner and family attending the American Heart Association’s San Diego Heart Ball on June 14, 2014.

The “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest is launching into its fourth year in San Diego and raises awareness of heart disease and stroke in the local community. The contest is open to all San Diego residents’ children ages 5-12, free to enter and comes with fun events, games, prizes and education to teach families the best ways to keep their hearts healthy. Local San Diego plumber, Bill Howe, and his wife Tina have been generous in their community outreach and philanthropic donations over the years and are proud to once again team-up with the American Heart Association.

The launch of this year’s contest begins on Sunday January 26 at the Serra Mesa Library from 2-4. This is the third kick-off party since the team-up of the San Diego plumber and the American Heart Association in 2010. Prior years, this event was held at the New Children’s Museum; however, the Bill Howe Family of Companies is excited to bring it to a new venue and reach a new community.  “Having just moved our headquarters to the neighborhood, we wanted to support our own local community this year,” Said Tina Howe, Vice President of the Bill Howe Family of Companies on the change of party location. “We’re so happy to welcome children and their families with us at the library and educate them with a fun-filled heart healthy day.”
