April Excellence Applauded at Bill Howe

Each month, Bill Howe Family of Companies recognizes outstanding individuals within the company. The awards presented highlight employees for customer service, going above and beyond, leading by example and excellence on the job. At the May company meeting, we were proud to honor Miguel Rodriguez, Raul Miranda, Daniel Heinz, and Mike Lacey.

Raul Miranda was honored as the Above & Beyond award winner for April. He recently celebrated 10 years as one of Bill Howe’s San Diego plumber, and his likeness is on our wall as the perfect representation of what our techs should be. He is knowledgeable, expert at his craft, and receives nothing but accolades form customers and his peers.

Our Customer Service winner for April is Miguel Rodriguez. He is an outstanding plumber and recent hire to Bill Howe, but has proven to be an asset to our family owned San Diego company. He received the April Award for his service with a very challenging job with the highest expectations form his customer. Below, we have added an expert from our customer’s email:

“Normally when I contact you we’ve had some type of issue with the job performed by one of your techs. I actually wanted to compliment a job well done yesterday by a very good tech who actually took the time not only to do his job, but do it well. He came out to fix a leak in a 1″ return line for a water heater for a 20-unit building. I had mentioned and he had noticed as well all of the repairs that had been completed to the existing lines because of all the 90 degree turns that had developed leaks due to old age and just the pressure on the lines because of two recirc pumps. Basically the plumbing looked like a jig saw set that had been through a war. I had asked Miguel if there was anything that could be done to clean up the mess. He said to give him a couple hours to make the repair on the leak and we would go from there. By the time I had come back he had resolved the leak issue and developed a game plan to resolve the jig saw plumbing and had pretty much completed the work. He took ownership of the issue and was determined to resolve it which I can honestly say nobody in the past even cared to do. I would just like to let you guys know he is a definite asset to your company and should be commended for a job well done.”

Mike Lacey is the Excellence winner for April, and would be a prime candidate for this award for every month. He is a PHCC San Diego Academy Journeyman plumber, and one of the experts in high rise drain repair at Bill Howe.

We choose one employee each month for the Leading by Example award. This honor goes to an employee who sets the bar for the company. Our winner for April is Daniel Heinz. He is one of our san Diego air conditioning experts and recently promoted to HVAC Field Supervisor. He demonstrates excellence in all he does and is the embodiment of the bill Howe Way.
