Main line backed up on Saturday. Called Pacific Drain & Plumbing. Technician arrived that afternoon and snaked the line (65-70 feet out) but it would not clear. He explained he could add an extension to his cable for an extra charge but he discouraged us from doing so because he advised it was usually not successful. We decided to quit while we were behind, paid the charge of $124 and scheduled, as the technician recommended, Pacific Drain & Plumbing to come back and hydro jet the line to clear the backup for an additional $499. Because Pacific Drain & Plumbing could not return to hydro jet the line until Wednesday unless we paid a higher charge for overtime we called Bill Howe on Monday morning. Bill Howe responded around noon the same day. Javier was very professional and knowledgeable. He snaked the main line just as the other technician had tried earlier. This time, however, Javier went further downstream in the main line (without any discussion and discouragement) and line cleared immediately. While Javier remained on site we ran water into the main line from two showers for 15 minutes to be sure the problem was solved. It was. The charge from Bill Howe was only a few dollars higher than what we paid Pacific Drain & Plumbing for its failed attempt to clear the line. We are very pleased with Bill Howe. His team is professional, courteous and skilled. Thank you Javier and Bill Howe.
