The Bill Howe Way: May Award Recipients

Bill Howe is proud to recognize Pedro Montes, Dana Parks, Andrew Chapman and Shelby Bruce  for upholding the Bill Howe Way.

Pedro Montes, reconstruction specialist in San Diego, received the Excellence Award for exemplary craftsmanship on his recent kitchen cabinet remodel. This specific job was challenging because it was a restoration/dryout scenario. After the EMS team removed affected areas, Pedro has to rebuild all of the boxes, frames and doors and recreate the cabinetry to match the areas not affected; and, it had to be a perfect match. He also built the cabinets from wood, which is a much harder material to work with. Typical cabinetry is manufactured from MDF; Pedro was working with more costly materials and even had to match the wood stain to the existing. It was a precision job including hardware, crown molding and toe kicks. Way to go, Pedro.

Dana Parks, San Diego Journeyman plumber and Instructor at the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Academy,  received the Leading by Example Award for his continued commitment to professionalism and the high standards of Bill Howe Family of Companies. He has perfect attendance and arrival times to every customer and always looks perfect in a pressed and clean uniform.

Andrew Chapman, Also a PHCC Academy Instructor, was the recipient of the May Customer Service Award for his work with all of our customers, and especially with our restoration & Flood division. They require constant communication and Andrew keeps them updated at every step, keeping our divisions working together in harmony. He always delivers the best service with a smile and takes care of our customers like our family.

Shelby Bruce, recently promoted to lead installer with our HVAC division in San Diego, received the Above & Beyond Award for his outstanding online reviews and for his “pay-it-forward” spirit in volunteerism with the Bill Howe volunteer team at the San Diego Food Bank. He creates happy customers everywhere he goes, and rumor has it, they are so happy with his level of work and professionalism, that he routinely gets special homemade lunches at his jobs.

We had other companies come out for estimates on what was considered a major job with jackhammers and replacing cast iron pipes under the house… having been stung before, we wanted another estimate just to make sure we were making an informed decision. The prior estimates went up to $21,000!
Bill Howe sent us an amazing veteran plumber, Dashawn and his co- worker Anthony. Dashawn did a thorough check of the problem, explained what he thought was needed … he did a final check and we were able to see for ourselves what was the problem. He recommended a complete cleaning to de-scale the pipes, and not the major work we dreaded. Thanks to his solid analysis and patience in making sure we saw what he saw, the issue was resolved completely, and saved us thousands of unnecessary work. None of the other estimates included the cleaning; only the major repairs. Thanks to Dashawn’s knowledge, professionalism and honesty, we’re Bill Howe customers.

This was our second excellent experience with Bill Howe. We had a blocked kitchen sink drain 8/5. I was able to get a same day appointment which is AMAZING. Person on phone was very courteous and set me up right away. Tony arrived at the house (called me 30 minutes out so I was able to be ready). He diagnosed the issue (blocked drain, not the garbage compactor) and was able to snake it and ran the water for 10 minutes to be sure the drains were clear. He cleaned up everything and you would not have known he was even there. Thank-you Tony and Bill Howe, you always know how.
