Blues Music Showcase Success
It was a busy weekend for local san Diego plumbing company Bill Howe. On Saturday, the team started early with the American Heart Association Heart Walk and then continued the giving with Boogie Magazine at a Blues Music Showcase raising money for the Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station.

Tom Safreed, San Diego plumbing field supervisor, and blues harmonica player wanted to do something for the warrior foundation, an organization centered on helping transitioning warriors. He created the Blues Music Showcase and spent several months seeking out sponsors to help raise money. Proud Mary’s Southern Bar & Grill donated their venue for free allowing Tom and Boogie Magazine the full space to host this event.
Bill Howe Plumbing has a long history of giving back to the San Diego community and helped to promote and sponsor the event. Tom also received an abundance of gifts to raffle off at the event including Carnitas Snack Shack, the Patio Group, Mission Valley Pipe & Supply, Busalacchi’s, City Chevrolet, Music Rental & Pawn Shop, San Diego Harley-Davidson, Golf Mart, and Ferguson Plumbing Supply in San Diego.
All proceeds went directly to the Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station, which is a 100 percent volunteer organization. The Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station ensures that all money raised goes back to the warriors sending them home for the holidays, wherever their family is, providing housing, support, and a safe place where they can heal.

The lineup for the event included Lady Star, and with suggested donations at the door and raffle tickets, the event raised $2,875 for the Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station. The San Diego plumbing company routinely offers pro-bono plumbing and HVAC work for the housing unit, Freedom Station, and is proud to be a part of such a great and giving community.
It is also because of the efforts of Tom Safreed that the event was so successful. It was great fun, and we can’t wait for our next event.
