San Diego’s Best Plumber reignites wellness program with Brazilian Body Challenge to get ready for 2016 Employee Recognition Party

October 4, 2016 San Diego, Calif. – Bill Howe Family of Companies has been voted San Diego’s Best Plumber by the Union Tribune Readers for 2016 and a staple in the community for over 35 years. Beginning with one truck, they have grown to over 160 employees and opened two new divisions in Reconstruction and HVAC. They were also named as San Diego’s Best Heating & Air Conditioning Company, and Best Contractor for 2016.

For over 35 years, the Bill Howe Family of Companies has been focused on providing an exceptional workplace where employees can be healthy, happy and thrive in their careers. In 2012, the company began a comprehensive wellness program and they have been named one of San Diego’s Healthiest Companies by the San Diego Business Journal multiple years. As part of their wellness program, Bill Howe, pays for all employees to have their metrics assessed annually, and designs a 3-month health challenge to get ready for the holidays. At the end of each year, they host an Employee Recognition Party with a unique theme and center the challenge to align and get the employees ready. This year’s theme is “Bill Howe Goes to Rio,” and the wellness challenge is Brazilian Body Readiness.

The 3-month challenge allows participants to get points for participation in events like the AHA Heart Walk (Bill Howe is an American Heart Association Sponsor), registering for their healthcare online tools, plus points for doing what they already do for their won happiness and health, such as going to the gym, yoga classes, or walking.

The Brazilian Body Readiness challenge will end on December 31, and the top three point earners will have their choice of a Vegas weekend getaway, a couple spa retreat, a Disney vacation for the Family, or a sports package.
