Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating & Air in San Diego Announces AHA Healthy Hearts Contest Winners
San Diego’s Best Plumber announces 6th annual contest winners
April 25, 2017, San Diego, Calif. – Bill Howe Plumbing, began 37 years ago as AM/PM Sewer & Drain. Bill Howe was the sole plumber and focused on providing an affordable and honest service to his customers. When Tina Howe joined the company and they began a family, they created a vision to grow into a world-class company built on the same mission of providing quality, but also to give back to the community. For 37 years, they have kept their promise to San Diego and provide exceptional services in plumbing, heating & air conditioning, and restoration & flood remediation at affordable rates while giving back to their community through organizational support, volunteer efforts, and joining forces organizations like the American Heart Association (AHA).
Bill Howe Plumbing has partnered with the AHA in San Diego for over 7 years and has been hosting the “Howe Healthy is Your Heart?” Drawing Contest for the past 6 years. The contest asks children ages 5-12 to draw their idea of a happy and healthy heart. Each year, San Diego’s Best Plumber receives hundreds of submissions across the county. “Each year, the talent and healthy, happy heart messages are so wonderful,” said Tina Howe, Vice President of Bill Howe Plumbing in San Diego. “It is a challenge to choose the winner because they are all amazing.”
For the 2017 Contest, the company received the most submissions yet totaling over 700. There are 6 winners including a Grand Prize Winner, 4 age category winners (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12), and a Facebook Favorite winner that is chosen through open voting by the public.
In each age category, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12, we choose one winner. The plumbers and office staff at Bill Howe spent the week viewing the gallery in our office and placed heart stickers on their favorites. The 5-6 age category winner is, Paulo age 6 from Santa Sophia Academy; the age category 7-8 winner is, Fernando age 8 from Logan Elementary, the age category 9-10 winner is Sofia age 9 from Madison Avenue Elementary, nd the age category 11-12 is Luz age 11 from Holmes Elementary. The Facebook Favorite winner is Reina, age 8, and she received 336 total votes via comments, likes, and shares.
The 2017 “Howe Healthy is Your Heart?” Grand Prize Winner is 11 year-old, Ethan, who attends Foster Elementary School in San Diego. He will receive a $250 Toys R Us Gift Card, and his school will receive a $1,000 grant from Bill Howe for use in physical education and/or the arts departments.
