2015 Healthy Hearts Drawing Contest Winners Chosen by Local San Diego Plumbing Company
San Diego plumber dedicated to “paying-it-forward” supports the AHA in healthy lifestyle initiatives
April 29, 2015 San Diego, Calif. – The Bill Howe Family of Companies is comprised of three divisions offering expert services in plumbing, heating & air conditioning and flood & restoration. The one-stop shop started with San Diego plumber, Bill Howe, and has grown in their 35 year history now employing over 140 people across all services with the largest presence in their original department: plumbing in San Diego. The family-owned and operated company continues to gain success by promoting education and training, quality products and services, and dedication to community outreach.
The San Diego plumber routinely supports charitable organizations throughout the community, including the Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station, San Diego Burn Institute, San Diego Food Bank and the local American Heart Association in (AHA). Partnering with the AHA has been highly successful as it aligns with the companies’ own mission to create a healthy company. They have been sponsoring the AHA since 2010.
As part of the AHA Sponsorship, the Bill Howe Family of Companies’ makes an annual donation of $25,000 and hosts a 3-month long drawing contest for children ages 5-12. The contest asks children to draw their idea of a healthy heart. In 2015, hundreds of drawings were submitted from across the county and six winners were chosen in different categories. The Grand Prize winner, Madeleine, age 8 from Rancho Penasquitos, CA will receive a $250 gift card to Toys R Us and an invitation for her and her family to attend the AHA Heart Ball to be held on Saturday, May 2 at the Estancia Resort & Hotel in La Jolla, CA. There were four additional age category winners and a “Facebook Favorite” and they will each receive a $100 gift card to Toys R Us.
