  • Be informed. Make sure you read all instructions and reference any problems that may arise. Once you have properly diagnosed the root of the problem, you should also have a clear set of directions to follow, including safety measures.
  • Protect yourself. If you do decide that it is safe to make a plumbing repair yourself, have all the necessary safety tools and accessories available close to you while working. Wear gloves to keep things like glass, fiberglass and rust off your hands. Wear safety eye goggles to keep dust, debris and sparks out of you eyes. Wear face masks to ensure you do not breathe harmful fumes. It’s been said, but it is very true, better to be safe than sorry!
  • Enlist a friend to help. Do not play superhero and assume you’re able to lift and do everything yourself. By having a friend or neighbor with you, you will be doubly safe while lifting and moving any appliances, they can help to spot you and are there in case of an emergency to help shut off water, gas or dial emergency help. Read all labels, Instructions, Manuals and warnings. You should make sure not to mix any chemicals and know what you might be using. Also, understand what to do in case of accidental ingestions or in case of an emergency.

  • Do not work if you are physically impaired. Make sure you’re well rested and not sick before beginning any project. Being tired and/or sick can lead to injury or impaired judgement.
  • Use tools as intended. Make sure you are not forcing any tools. Use the right tool for the job and make sure all cords are intact and not old or frayed.
  • Place your tools in a safe place while working. Do not place a sharp tool in your pocket as you may forget it is there. Alternatively, make sure your tools or tool cords are not in a walking path and are safely stowed.

What Andy B. via Lennox Pro says about us

We have been using Bill Howe Plumbing’s service for more than 25 years and have been pleasantly surprised at how consistently they perform an excellent service call. We use them for our home and our rental properties, and their dispatchers and technicians have always been the best at problem solving; our tenants have told us how great the service is as well. When we needed air conditioning service, naturally we called Bill Howe first. There’s no reason to call anyone else. I know the job will be done right the first time, with fair pricing and professional service.
