San Diego Job Corps

For the past eight years, Bill Howe Plumbing, Inc. has been an active supporter of San Diego Job Corps. San Diego Job Corps is the local chapter of the national program, Job Corps, administered by the U.S. Department of Labor. San Diego Job Corps offers young adults (ages 16-24) of San Diego a comprehensive array of career development services through a holistic career development training approach, at no cost to the students. Bill Howe Plumbing was the first plumbing company to get involved in San Diego Job Corps eight years ago and even today is the only plumbing company that continues to work with the program and brings in the students to train with their technicians.

Without the support of Bill Howe Plumbing, these students would not have access to experiencing a day in the life of a plumbing technician in the field.  Bill Howe Plumbing’s participation in Job Corps is Bill Howe’s way of giving back to the community and sparking an interest in the trade industries.

In 2011 Bill Howe Plumbing was honored with the Heilbron Award given to us by the San Diego Rotary Club 33. Read more about the award here.
