Tina Howe Presented with Women in Business Award for Second Time

                 Vice President of Well Known San Diego Plumbing Company Honored with Business Award

The Bill Howe Family of Companies has become one of San Diego’s largest family-owned plumbing, heating & air conditioning and restoration & flood service companies. Operating from the mission to provide expert services to the local community at an affordable price while also giving back in charitable and positive ways to both San Diego residents and the industry.

Tina Howe has been integral in achieving the companies goals. She has grown the San Diego plumbing company consistently in the past ten years adding two new divisions in San Diego, heating and restoration and flood services. Her business acumen has earned her several nominations in local awards and at the San Diego Business Journal’s (SDBJ) 20^th annual Women Who Mean Business Award Ceremony (WWMB), she was once again presented with the winning honor. Tina Howe was also chosen as a winner for the 2010 WWMB Award and was a finalist in the 2011 year.

The SDBJ’s WWMB Award celebrated its 20^th anniversary this month. The award recognizes dynamic women business leaders and role models for their contributions and achievements in local business. The 2013 event was held at the Town & Country Resort & Convention Center in Mission Valley. There was a list of over 160 finalists of outstanding individuals and awards were presented to the top 40 women in San Diego.

Tina Howe currently serves as Vice President of the Bill Howe Family of Companies as well as President of the San Diego Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractor’s Association. In her term, she has increased membership in both the PHCC organization as well as the Journeyman Plumbing Program, hired four new teachers to instruct in the apprenticeship program and opened a new division in San Diego heating and air conditioning training with the launch of the HVAC two-year apprenticeship program.  She also spearheads the philanthropic endeavors of the Bill Howe Family of Companies and regularly donates to organizations such as the San Diego Burn Institute, the American Heart Association as well as ensuring that the company provides pro bono work in the San Diego community.
