Local plumbing, heating & air employees in San Diego spread holiday cheer through the gift of giving

December 19, 2017 San Diego, Calif. – Bill Howe Plumbing Heating & Air in San Diego has been an established company serving San Diego for 38 years. Starting with one service and one truck, they have grown into a family of companies offering homeowners and businesses expert services in plumbing, heating & air, restoration & flood, epoxy lining solutions, and water filtration in the local community. Truly family-owned and operated, they succeed in their mission of creating healthy, happy employees, providing the highest level of quality and affordability to customers, and giving back to their communities.

The BGCGSD is about changing lives. For over 75 years, they have made a positive impact on over 25,000 youth in the community between the ages of 5 to 18 through academic success, character development, and healthy lifestyles within their 19 community sites. Many of their members come from low-income families making the holidays a challenge.

Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating & Air joined the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) as a corporate partner for 2017. The company has been a longtime supporter of the BGCGSD through local sponsorships, donations, and events at individual clubs. 2016 was the first year that Bill Howe participated in the adopt a family program and it was a huge success. They were excited to continue the holiday tradition and get all of the employees involved.

“This year, we adopted ten families, over forty individuals including children and their parents from the many clubs across the San Diego County, said Tina Howe, Vice President of Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating & Air. “within a day of posting the families for our employees, everyone had been chosen and our team went beyond our expectations in making this a special Christmas for these families.”

One employee, Ron LaCaze, adopted seven of the individuals and fulfilled every item on their Wishlist including two bikes, a skateboard, all the My Little Pony a child could want, and a Fuji instant camera system with a year supply of film.

“We have the best team in San Diego,” said Marketing Director, Julie Riddle. “Not only did everyone purchase amazing gifts, but we even received cash donations from our vendors and customers. We were able to provide every family with a wonderful Christmas.”
