Bill Howe Plumbing Employees Spread Holiday Cheer with Toys for Tots Donations
San Diego plumbers, heating techs and restoration specialist donate toys and raise money for Toys for Tots at Employee Recognition Party
December 15, 2015 San Diego, Calif. – The Bill Howe Family of Companies is an award winning San Diego plumbing, heating & air conditioning, and restoration & flood services company. The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program has been an official Marine activity since 1995. Their mission has always been to collect new, unwrapped toys during the months leading up to Christmas, Toys for Tots donates these as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the local community where the toys are received.
The San Diego Plumbing company is an official drop off location for the Toys for Tots this holiday season, and has already filled both of their toy boxes to overflowing. Additionally, they recruited their employees to help with new unwrapped toys at the 2015 Employee Recognition Party held this past Saturday at the Del Mar Hilton. Every year, the company hosts an end of the year party for all employees and their spouses. The night is always themed (this year, a return to the 80’s, when Bill Howe began!) and they have entertainment, dinner, dancing, and an abundance of raffle prizes and awards. The company pays for everything, including hotel rooms for each employee.
Bill Howe Marketing Director piled up the toys at the local Target with the $560 raised from the generous employee support!
For the second time, Bill Howe has incorporated the Toys for Tots into the Employee Recognition Party by offering extra raffle tickets to each employee who brought a new unwrapped toy to the party, or alternatively donated $10. With the money raised, the company will purchase toys to add to their donation boxes.
“Our employees are the heart of Bill Howe, and we love hosting this party each year to reward them for all of their hard work,” said Tina Howe, Vice president of the bill Howe Family of Companies. “We are also so proud that they have the such a generous and giving spirit and are willing to participate during the party and bring some joy to children in need.”
The employees donated over $500 dollars at the party, in addition to filling an entire box with toys. The company of San Diego plumbers, heating technicians, and water damage specialists also regularly volunteer at the San Diego Food Bank and participate in charity 5k’s with the company.
