Bad News Bills
When it comes to plumbing in San Diego, Bill Howe is the expert. And, a group of San Diego plumbers, HVAC techs and restoration specialists are working hard to prove they know softball as well!
The Bill Howe Family of Companies has been named one of San Diego’s healthiest companies several years in a row by the San Diego Business Journal. Their commitment to creating a culture of wellness has been the driving force behind several company sponsored events over the past few years including paintball, over-the-line weekends, multiple 5K runs and participation in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk for the past five years.
But possibly the most popular component of the Bill Howe Wellness program is the first ever coed softball team: The Bad News Bills. The Bad News Bills play through the local VAVi Sports League at Presidio Park in Old Town San Diego. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, restoration specialists and several of the women from the office (and some wives, too) hit the field every Tuesday night looking for the win.
Even though they have not yet won a game, they continue to improve and have even scored a few home runs since their first game on May 5.
If you’re ever in the area, come cheer them on. And don’t hesitate to call on them for any home service needs; after all, they’re much better at plumbing in San Diego than playing ball (but they’re working on it!) and stay tuned for their first win-it’s coming!
Call 1-800 Bill Howe (245-5469) for game times on Tuesday nights and come see the Bad News Bills in action at Presidio Park.
