2014 AHA “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest Winners Announced!
Bill Howe has made San Diego plumbers synonymous with giving back to the community in a variety of ways, and in partnership with a variety of great organizations. One such team up between the local San Diego plumber is with the American Heart Association.

Since 2010, the San Diego plumber and his wife Tina have been actively promoting healthy and active lifestyles and raising awareness of the AHA message in the community. Each year, the Bill Howe Family of Companies is proud to host a 3-month long drawing contest; the “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest for children ages 5-12. The drawing contest asks children to draw their idea of what makes a “healthy Heart,” and share all the ways they stay active and heart conscious.
Since beginning the contest, the company has reached over 1500 families and children in the community. In 2014, the San Diego plumber received over 450 entries and announced 5 lucky winners.

The 2014 Grand Prize Winner was Soliana, age 10 from Poway, CA. Soliana and her family attended the AHA Beach Ball on June 14, with the San Diego plumber, Bill Howe and wife, Tina, as well as receiving a $250 gift card from Toys R Us. Her drawing depicted her love of dancing and eating healthy.

In addition, four age category winners were chosen, Evan, age 5, Madeleine age 7, Sarah, age 9 and Patchouli, age 11 and a special “Facebook” Favorite Winner, Zoe, age 7. Each received a $100 gift card to Toys R Us.
The San Diego plumber’s signed on for another year of sponsorship with the AHA and looks forward to 2015. Part of the sponsorships also includes an annual donation of $25,000 for the AHA.
