Great news! The Federal tax credits on high efficient HVAC equipment has been extended through December 31, 2011 by the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. The program has been modified from the 2009-2010 program in several ways including a lifetime limit of $500, so if you received a tax credit from 2006-2010 that totals $500 or more, you are not eligible to receive anything more.
