The first step in the construction document stage is finalizing all of the drawings and plans. Before anything is demolished or removed, we want to be sure that all of the new items are in stock and/or deliverable by the scheduled installation date. At this time, all final decisions must be made regarding finishes, color selections, materials, appliances and fixtures and cabinet details. We do not want to proceed before everything has been approved and you are completely satisfied.
At this point we will establish a detailed construction schedule. Also, we will inform you of what you can expect to happen throughout the duration of your project. We will also introduce you to any employees or sub-contractors that will be involved in the project and discuss how you would like us to enter your home or office space. Any special instructions you might have will be noted during this stage and addressed.
Before the actual construction work is started, a Construction Contract will be signed by both the client and Bill Howe Design & Remodeling. Included with this contract will be a payment schedule, for your convenience. As with the Preliminary Contract, we will answer any questions that you might have and review all aspects of the outlined contract. We assure that you will have ample time to look it over. After all, our top priority is your satisfaction. Upon the signing of this contract, we will collect an order of materials payment to start the process and your project will be underway!
